Vietjet, the pioneering Vietnamese airline, has achieved a significant milestone by introducing its inaugural direct route between Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) and Perth, Australia. This marks a pivotal connection between Vietnam‘s thriving metropolis and the picturesque state of Western Australia.
This new route has elevated Vietjet’s tally of weekly flights linking Vietnam and Australia to an impressive 38 flights.
Commencing operations on November 21, the route will witness two return flights every week. Departing from HCMC, flights are scheduled for 1:35 p.m. (local time) on both Tuesdays and Saturdays, touching down in Perth at 9:20 p.m. (local time).
Conversely, flights will take off from Perth International Airport at 11:20 p.m. (local time) on the same days, arriving at Tan Son Nhat Airport at 05:05 a.m. (local time) the following mornings.
Australia holds a prominent position within Vietnam’s top 10 tourist markets, particularly within HCMC in recent times, as highlighted by the Department of Tourism. Last year alone, over 130,000 Australian visitors were warmly welcomed in HCMC, contributing to 3.5% of the total influx of tourists in this bustling southern economic hub.
