Spectrum of the Seas, acclaimed as “Asia’s largest and most luxurious cruise ship,” arrived at the sought-after destination of Nha Trang on Wednesday, carrying a total of 4,600 international travelers. The cruise vessel’s arrival comes as a significant boost to the travel industry during the low season for international tourism.
Due to its impressive size, the ship had to anchor outside the picturesque Nha Trang Bay. Subsequently, the visitors, primarily hailing from Europe, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Singapore, were ferried ashore on boats to embark on their Nha Trang adventure.
During their stay, the tourists explored various attractions in Nha Trang, including the Institute of Oceanography, Ponagar Tower, Truong Son Craft Village, and Long Son Pagoda. Some adventurous souls even opted for cycling to discover the outskirts of this beautiful city.
After a memorable stay, the cruise ship departed on Wednesday night, continuing its journey to Hong Kong.
Previously, in March, the same vessel had brought 3,500 foreign tourists to Vung Tau.
Spectrum of the Seas, operated by the esteemed Royal Caribbean International (RCI), boasts an impressive length of 347 meters and offers 16 decks, more than 2,000 cabins, accommodating up to 5,600 passengers.
Vietnam’s tourism industry has seen promising numbers this year, having received 6.6 million foreign visitors so far, which is equivalent to 83% of the annual target of eight million visitors.
