When coming to a country, not only the local people, places or experience but also the cuisine impresses tourists. Vietnam is divided into three regions, including the North, the Central and the South. Although there are common features in the dining style still have different characteristics in each region. It results from the differences in geography, culture, climate, and taste, but above all, it contributes to bringing richness and diversity to the cuisine of Vietnam. Private tours give you freedom, independence, and flexibility to explore whatever you want and your wishlist.

Customized  Experience

It is time for real-life movie set to yourself after the busy life. As small countries lying on the east coast of the Pacific Ocean and possessing naturally favorable conditions, Vietnam is the perfect choice for a retreat with many different kinds of attractions and tours. Especially, naturally blessed with over 4,000 islands, it is no surprise when Vietnam has become such a hit with tourists wishing to spend their vacation on an isolated and peaceful island. Clear crystal blue water, white smooth sand beaches, charming scenes together with unique local life create an irresistible appeal to every tourist coming to these islands at the first sight. This is really a great chance to relax or just simply spend quality time enjoying a new place together away from the bustle and hustle of modern life.

Lower scams with local reviews, tips & tricks

Private guides will be your interpreters in case you cannot understand and communicate in the local language, which will minimize the culture barriers and embarrassments, especially in limited time. Moreover, local tour guides enable you to explore primitive landscapes and several spots unavailable on the Internet.

Luxury tour operators always strongly confident in their knowledgeable staff and local experts are one of the most outstanding staffs here. Local experts acknowledge impressively about all destination. Vietnam still exists many corners that even media has not approached. Therefore, local experts can bring you to go to every corner of Vietnam and find out the wonderful hiding places which are suitable the most with your demand.

-Flexible timeline to explore off the beaten path places

Flexibility is for sure in private tours as you are the planner and it is yours. Whatever you want, adding or deleting some places or activities is up to you. Tours can often be extended or booked for consecutive days with the very same guide if you are tired after long distances among the cities or just wish to explore the culture and new places. On the contrary, large group tours with many people have scheduled a fixed plan for that day, there is no much time to stop and take pictures or access closer to the local culture and people. In larger groups, you must follow the tour guide and even run to catch up with them, in order not to be lost.

Flexibility, therefore, is the most favorable benefits of private tours - it all depends on what you want, just inform your tour guide if you want.

Dotted with the rich history for centuries, Vietnam remains its intact beauty, especially in rural areas. All kinds of tourist attractions are available, islands, beaches, highlands, cultural heritages, temples, architecture structures or just local life exploration and cuisine tour are waiting for you to experience. Moreover, as Vietnam is safe, solo travel to off-the-beaten-track places is also ideal and worth a try.

As a small country lying on the East coast of the Pacific Ocean and possessing naturally favorable conditions, Vietnam is a perfect choice for a family holiday. When traveling to Vietnam, visitors will have chances to experience many different kinds of attractions and tours, especially it is safe for kids.

A lot of things to do in Danang Vietnam, the most livable city of Vietnam, but do not forget to visit My Khe Beach, as one of the must-see destinations in Danang Vietnam. Why? Apart from My Khe Beach, you should spend some time during your trip to travel to other attractions, such as Son Tra Peninsula, Ba Na Hills Mountain Resort, The Ngu Hanh Son Mount or Hoi An.

Hoian

Hoian is not just famous for its ancient beauty and beautiful landscapes recognized many times worldwide, but also for its authentic cuisine as one of the 25 most attractive destinations for foodies around the world. Do not forget that you are in a heaven of street food. Trying street food will bring you an interesting and unforgettable experience and here are top 4 most popular and favorable dishes that you must eat when landing on this lovely city - Cao Lau - Hoian's signature dish, Hoian Chicken Rice - Com Ga Hoi An, White Rose in Hoian and Quang Noodle – Mi Quang.

Hue

It is no surprise when Hue is one of the top must-see destinations in Vietnam as its peaceful, outstanding natural landscapes together with friendly and helpful people. Located along the banks of the Huong River, Hue, the regional economic, cultural, touristic, scientific, specialized health, education and training hub of central Viet Nam is an attractive destination.

It is famous for its temples, bastions, mausoleums, architecture, and natural landscapes mostly covered by a layer of green moss, which creates a relaxing sensation. And spending time visiting Hue is considered as one of the top things to do in Vietnam.

Phu Quoc

As on top 3 famous tourist attractions by National Geographic and top 10 cruise heavens in Asia by Asia One, Phu Quoc is undoubtedly your must-see destination this summer. Phu Quoc’s untouched beauty attracts those loving pristine beaches and the intact beauty of the wilderness and nature.

The beach remains pristine with crystal blue water, romantic palm trees and soft sands, which is extremely suitable for boat-sailing, sunbathing, diving, swimming, scuba-diving and wandering, especially enjoying the sunset and sunrise with your lovers.

Here are the best beaches in Vietnam:

Phu Quoc - The best beach for the luxury small group tour in Vietnam

Phu Quoc Island used to be an unknown retreat, a hidden gem for those travelers searching for a true hideaway.  Today, Phu quoc has become a premier beach destination with many luxury resorts and construction sites growing almost everywhere. Being the largest island in Vietnam, Phu Quoc boasts dozens of excellent beaches, including Star Beach (Bai Sao Beach) with sleepy palm trees, incredible white sand, and distinctive turquoise water; Long Beach (Bai Dai Beach) - the scene of the most intense development on the island with a wide range of hotels, resort, and restaurant from the budget to the top-notch one; Ong Lang Beach - a long stretch of lovely, sandy bays dotted with black volcanic rock...

Mui Ne Beach, Phan Thiet - The best beach for luxury adventure holidays

If you are adventure-lover, Phan Thiet with Mui Ne is also an attractive cultural tourist destination with a diverse population of Chinese and Cham people along with the unique cuisine from fresh seafood. Located in Phan Thiet, Mui Ne is one of the most famous beaches in Vietnam for its spectacular bright red sand dunes where we can sled down on bits of cardboard to have great fun as well. The wind can pick up on the beach in the afternoon, the breeze is great but you can end getting sand blasted on the beach in the morning.

My Khe, Danang - One of the most charming beaches in the world

Rated as one of the six most charming beaches on the planet in 2015 (Forbes) and one of the ten best beaches in Asia by Sunday Herald Sun Magazine of Australia, My Khe is worth visiting. In addition to swimming, tourists can participate in many fun activities like scuba diving and observing coral reefs, regatta, flash mobbing and many more activities on the beach. My Khe beach has something to suit all tastes.  Watching the sunset and views of Da Nang City is also an enjoyable experience at My Khe. You can enjoy city views without all the noise from here.

Nha Trang - The premium beach for  M.I.C.E

Known as the Riviera of the South China Sea, Nha Trang boasts a six-km stretch of beautiful coastline along with the white sandy beaches and blue water. I highly recommend this place for those wishing to escape the often overcrowded city. Some outstanding beaches are Tran Phu beach and Hon Chong beach, Bai Tru Beach, Bai Dai beach, Nhu Tien beach. One of the most favorite beaches is Doc Let with a lot of palm trees and fishing boats offshore as well as the image of white salt mountains and locals carrying heavy baskets across the fields. Actually, Doc Let beach seems to be primitive and squeaking underfoot as you walk in soft sand will be a perfect escape.

Son Doong Cave - The Largest Cave in the World

Being discovered for the first time by a local man named Ho Khanh, Son Doong Cave is recognized as the largest cave in the world. Located in the heart of Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, Son Doong Cave is more than 5 kilometers long, 200 meters height, and the main cavern is large enough to contain an entire New York City block. The ecosystem inside this cave which was formed during the Cambrian-Permian geological eras is as unique as its area. Son Doong Cave even has its own localized weather system and is rich in forms of life. People find here many new species of fish, spiders, shrimp, woodlice - they are all completely white.

Fansipan summit - The roof of Indochina

In the past, the former French station on the Sapa Mountain is the main trekking destination of the hill tribes of Vietnam thanks to its epic landscape, its excellent hiking opportunities and its proximity to the Hoang Lien Son mountains with the Fansipan peak - the roof of Indochina. From Fansipan summit, you can admire stunning landscapes of 3 countries including Laos, Vietnam, and China.

Halong Bay - One of the New Seven Natural Wonders of the World

Officially recognized as one of the New Seven Natural Wonders of the World in 2012, Halong Bay is a must-see on anyone’s itinerary for Vietnam, thanks to its turquoise water and thousands of jagged, limestone islands.

The best way to appreciate this magical scene is from a boat, cruising between the karst cliffs, which loom like fairytale castles, complete with rocky spires and hidden caves. Still used for fishing, whole families live on floating villages that are easily visited. Some will even take you out on a fishing trip. It was also among Asia’s top five tropical island paradises as selected by CNN.

Golden Bridge - The Giant Hand of God

Famous as a phenomenon since 2018 for its special architecture of gray hands and beauty, Golden Bridge is also a must-see spot. Lobelia Chrysanthemum is along the path on the bridge, creating accents of color and attracting all visitors. Standing on this amazing bridge, you can admire the entire endless landscapes and marvelous nature of Ba Na area. Golden Bridge is located in Thien Thai Garden of Sun World Ba Na Hills, thus if you wish to visit this unique architecture, please travel to Ba Na Hills.

Enjoy the egg coffee

Vietnam is pretty famous for its coffee and you will find coffee shops on every corner of every street. What you might not have known is that there are also a lot of specialty coffees, such as this deliciously frothy egg white coffee which you can purchase in certain cafes in Hanoi. A real treat after a long day sightseeing! Head to the Giang cafe (39 Nguyen Huu Huan) and Dinh Café (13 Đinh Tiên Hoàng) if you want to try in while in Hanoi.

Egg coffee by Mr. Nguyen Giang was from the late 1940s when condensed milk was not as abundant as today. Egg coffee is a mix of the egg yolks, sugar, condensed milk, and Vietnamese coffee. The drink is made by beating egg yolks with sugar and coffee, then extracting the coffee into the half of the cup, followed by a similar amount of egg cream, which is prepared by heating and beating the yolks. The cup is served inside a bowl of hot water to retain its temperature. The marriage of the egg’s rich taste and aromatic coffee wafting through the air makes up a specific flavor. Let's wander and enjoy Hanoi in another taste.

Take a luxury train from Hanoi to Sapa

Take the deluxe Victoria train for part of your journey to Sapa (north of Hanoi), have an adventure by day and comfort by night at Victoria Sapa Resort and Spa. Trek in Sapa through the dramatic hill-tribe country.  During the journey, you can discover the beauty of O Quy Ho - the most famous pass of North Vietnam

Discover Halong Bay free and easy

Spend  a couple  of lazy  days  on a private  chartered  boat  around spectacular Halong Bay, cruise on your own itinerary, do whatever you want, kayaking, boating, caving, sunbathing and at the end of the day, enjoy sunset over a glass of wine in one of Asia’s top five best tropical island paradises as voted by CNN.

Discover Hanoi & Saigon's Nightlife

Spend a couple of night in Hanoi, to experience the contrast of two cities, Hanoi and Saigon. Take a vintage to do a city tour. Hunt for paintings of famous artists, and have afternoon tea in the terrace bar in Sofitel Metropole Hanoi Hotel. Cyclo ride and dine in style in many French villas converted to the gourmet restaurant. Take a day trip to magnificent attractions in surrounding Hanoi.

Take a trip through the Mekong Delta south of Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam’s rice basket, the Mekong Delta is a watery landscape of green fields and sleepy villages, everywhere crisscrossed by the brown canals and rivulets fed by the mighty Mekong River. The uniquely southern charm, with its welcoming introduction to life along the river, is the real draw, and visitors can explore quaint riverside towns, sample fruits bartered for at the colorful floating markets or dine on home-cooked delicacies before overnight stays as a house guest. Other highlights include visits to local orchards, flower markets, and fish farms. There are also bird sanctuaries and impressive Khmer pagodas in the region.

Relax on a stunning beach at the end of your trip

Vietnam is not only famous for golden rice terrace, incredible karst cave, but also for a long stretch of beach in the east. It will be a huge mistake when traveling to Vietnam without spending a couple of days relaxing in the tropical beach such as Mui Ne Beach, Phu Quoc or Con Dao Island and enjoy the delicious fresh seafood with unexpectedly reasonable prices here.

Trekking to the colorful local village in Sapa

Tucked high in Vietnam's remote northern mountains, close to the Chinese border, the former French military outpost of Sapa offers some of Vietnam's most colorful experiences. The region is home to several ethnic minority groups, all wearing their traditional and colorful attire. To discover the local community, go trekking to some of the most famous villages including Cat Cat Village,  Ta Van village, Ta Phin villages

See great places like on the heritage road from Hue to Hoi An, and then relax at one of the most luxurious beaches in the world in Danang. Located along the banks of the Huong River, Hue, the regional economic, cultural, touristic, scientific, specialized health, education, and training hub of central Viet Nam is an attractive destination. Naturally blessed with a variety of landscapes from highlands, national parks, hills, mountains, forests to beaches and islands, Vietnam is an amazing place for trekking and hiking tours. Let's discover some of the best trekking trails in Vietnam.

Pu Luong, Thanh Hoá

Located in Thanh Hoa Province, Pu Luong is a new tourist attraction deeply rooted in culture. Pu Luong is home to a scattering of Thai villages which are the epitome of sleepy, rural life where the people rise with the sun to nature's soundtrack. Trekking to Pu Luong, you should wake up early, join with the local farmers to scroll around the village, listen to the very first sounds of nature stirring into action, watch the sun rising from the valley, breath the incredibly fresh atmosphere. During the journey,  you can admire a wide array of natural sceneries including crystal stream, jungle, rice terrace, a limestone mountain, and cascades.

Cuc Phuong National Park

It's also the most important protected area which is home to more than 300 species of birds and more than 2,000 species of registered plants.  Trekking to Cuc Phuong National Park, you can follow the short trail to the large botanical garden - the massive nature museum and the longer one to the Muong minority village. No place in South Vietnam can surpass the Cat Tien National Park for the incredible biodiversity and outdoor adventure. Recognized as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 2011, Nam Cat Tien National Park is home to many ancient trees, numerous birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians, as well as more than 400 varieties of butterflies. Grasslands and forests can be explored through well-established trails. And thanks to a series of comfortable bungalows in the park, it is possible to spend the night here or spend a few days exploring this area.

Sapa - The city in the cloud

As a country which mountainous area makes up over ¾ of the whole area, Vietnam is undoubtedly a great destination that enables travelers to discover the majestic beauty of mountains and experience exciting adventurous activities. Just a small town in the mountainous northwest of Vietnam, Sapa has always been listed as the best tour in North Vietnam, which has attracted millions of travelers each year.

Coming to Sapa, tourists will be impressed by the magnificent mountains loom in front of them. The high green hills, the colorful terraced rice fields, and the marvelous mountain peaks are the irresistible appeal to travelers. In recent years, under the influence of climate change, the winter gets dramatically cold and the temperature drops sharply. Therefore, if you come to Sapa in late December or early January, there is a likelihood of seeing snow. Especially, Fansipan peak – the summit of Indochina is crowned with a headdress of ice.

Despite unfavorable terrain, hiking in Sapa is still such a hit with tourists. What is more interesting than trekking, visiting trial group villages, sightseeing, admiring the sunrise and sunset or enjoying the cool air?

Lang Biang Mountain, Dalat

Lang Biang Mountains is located on Lang Biang Plateau, Lam Dong Province. About 12 km from Dalat center, Lang Biang stands stunningly like the roof of Dalat. From the top of Lang Biang Mountain, you can admire the Golden Stream and Silver Stream, or observe the whole dreamy Dalat, which looks like a lush green valley with two pieces of silver silk (the Golden and Silver Stream), and especially enjoy the sunset with your lovers and hear the legend about K’Lang and Ho Biang’ love story.

Here, tourists can take part in many different activities such as camping, exploring the natural flora and enjoying the unique and diversified culture of ethnic minority groups. This road goes up high, bringing visitors into a virtual space of clouds, wind, and birds singing in the forest.

From April to June, Son Tra is charmingly beautiful when the trees shed their leaves, the Than mat blooms are purple and the red-shanked doucs appear on low mountain slopes near the sea. They move in groups of five or seven, eating tender leaves. In the sunshine through forest canopies, the animals look so special with their colorful fur, expressive faces, clear eyes, snub noses, and long white whiskers.

Asian Water Monitor

The Asian water monitor (Varanus salvator), is a large lizard native to South and Southeast Asia. Water monitors are one of the most common monitor lizards found throughout Asia, and range from Sri Lanka and India to Indochina, the Malay Peninsula, and various islands of Indonesia, living in areas close to water. The species is known as Malayan water monitor, Asian water monitor, common water monitor, two-banded monitor, and as rice lizard, ring lizard, plain lizard, and no-mark lizard, as well as simply "water monitor".

Burmese Python

Burmese pythons (Python bivittatus), with their beautifully patterned skin, rapid growth rate, and generally docile disposition, may be best known as the large snake of choice among reptile owners. Native to the jungles and grassy marshes of Southeast Asia, Burmese pythons are among the largest snakes on Earth. They are capable of reaching 23 feet (7 meters) or more in length and weighing up to 200 pounds (90 kilograms) with a girth as big as a telephone pole. When young, they will spend much of their time in the trees. However, as they mature and their size and weight make tree climbing unwieldy, they transition to mainly ground-dwelling. Burmese pythons are solitary animals and are generally only seen together during spring mating. Females lay clutches of up to 100 eggs, which they incubate for two to three months. To keep their eggs warm, they continually contract, or shiver, their muscles.

Gorgeous landscapes for luxury romantic escapes in Vietnam

Despite as a small country, Vietnam has become such a hit in Southeast Asia with tourists by hundreds and thousands of natural wonders, fantastic natural beauty, and cultural complexities, and dynamic megacities and hill-tribe villages. Each region impresses visitors by different landscapes ranging among the three most wonderful destinations in the North, the Middle and the South of Vietnam.

The ideal weather

Vietnam is divided into three regions with different climate and landscapes. The North in which you can visit Hanoi, Sapa, Ha Giang or Halong Bay experiences the most rainfall in their summer months between June to September. Meanwhile, Central Vietnam like Danang, Hoian and Hue, rainfall happens between October and November. Like the North, the South of Vietnam if you choose Ho Chi Minh City or Vung Tau, please pay attention to the highest rainfall in June, July, August, and September.

In each time of year, you could make a visit to different provinces in a wonderful country with your children. In spring, you can book a trip to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City to enjoy thoroughly the traditional culture of locals when they are busy with preparation for Tet. There is nothing entertaining for children than observing cultural activities by naked eyes and having opportunities to take part in such meaningful events.

Honest locals

Vietnamese people are very friendly and kind. Although they are sometimes quite conservative but still willing to help foreigners. They are eager to help you if you get lost or attentively show their cuisines, handicrafts or festivals if you wish to travel like a real local. Whoever you are, don’t worry, even it is your first time in Vietnam, the locals are eager to invite you to join them at their table with share snacks, attend their family meal or take part in festivals, or even just simply say hello to you in the street.

Various types of travel spots

Naturally blessed with diversified landscapes ranging from highlands, valleys, forests, national parks, temples to beaches, bays and islands, Vietnam is undoubtedly a great destination which enables travelers to enjoy different kinds of tourism. The irresistible appeal of the top tourist attractions in Vietnam such as Halong Bay, Moc Chau, Ba Na Hills, and Hoian has attracted millions of travelers each year.

Mekong Delta is covered with rivers and canals, so traveling by boat is the easiest and fastest way of transportation. If you have a chance to travel to Southern Vietnam, do not forget the floating market – the highlight of Southern Vietnam. Besides fruits orchards, yellow rice paddies, Southern folk songs, and special regional cuisine, the vibrant floating market is what comes on tourists’ mind when talking about Mekong Delta.

Floating markets have long been an integral part of the lives of the locals in the Southwest from generation to generation. A floating market is a gathering place where the locals can buy their own products and fresh fruits or vegetables hanging on the poles while visitors can travel around to enjoy the locals’ life and buy something. Even you can find some floating bars, floating restaurants and the same kinds of shops as on the land.

Sitting on a boat and traveling around the market, visitors will be overwhelmed by hundreds of different boats packed with fresh and vivid colors of abundant fruits, poultry products, vegetables, seafood, handicraft goods, regional goods or aquatic products.  Therefore, it is always crowded with many retailers from small markets in nearby cities, they come here to get fresh goods at reasonable prices.

Stunning scenery, hospitable locals, the greenness and rural characteristics will definitely ease your mind from all everyday troubles and give you memorable moments.

Do not forget to pay a visit to Cai Be, Cai Rang, Tra On, and Nga Bay Floating Markets.

Experience Mekong Delta with fish catching by bare hands and floating markets

If you have a chance to travel to Southern Vietnam, do not forget the floating market – the highlight of South Vietnam. Besides fruits orchards, yellow rice paddies, Southern folk songs, and special regional cuisine, the vibrant floating market is what comes on tourists’ mind when talking about Mekong Delta. It attracts visitors by dense rivers, canals system, house stilts and lifestyle of the locals. Want to customized holiday in Vietnam, find Luxury Travel team at [email protected].

Vietnam is divided into three regions with different climate and landscapes. As a tropical country, like other Southeast Asian countries, Vietnam possesses two typical seasons: the dry and rainy season. For tourism, traveling in the dry season should be better to enjoy the sunny sky, warm blue seas, and exotic landscapes.

Vietnam is divided into three regions with different climate and natural beauty.

- The North in which you can visit Hanoi, Dien Bien, Mocha or Halong Bay, Ninh Binh and Hagiang experiences the most rainfall between June and September.

- Central Vietnam like Danang, Hoian, and Hue, rainfall happens during the winter months including October and November.

- Like the North, South Vietnam if you choose Ho Chi Minh City or Vung Tau, it is on their highest rainfall in June, July, August, and September.

So if you want to spend your holiday in Vietnam in the most amazing weather to explore all sports and activities, avoid these months.

However, you can choose to visit Vietnam during monsoon months to not only save the costs but enjoy something interesting that the dry season cannot possess like lower crowds, cooler climate, no need for booking in advance.

When coming to a country, not only the local people, places or experience but also the cuisine impresses tourists. Vietnam is no exception as well.

Northern Vietnam’s cuisine – delicate and sophisticated

Northern cuisine is a bold statement of a long-standing culture. Coming to the rendezvous was the capital of many dynasties, and Hanoi was considered as the elite cuisine of the North with delicious dishes such as noodles, noodle soups, Bun Cha, Bun Bo, and special spices like Pho Cuon or Nem.

Northern cuisine is not dark, spicy, fatty and sweet like in other regions. It is tasteful, not too intense but colorful. They mainly use diluted fish sauce, shrimp paste, many vegetables and easy-to-make freshwater fish such as shrimp, crab, fish, clams, mussels etc. And in general, due to the ancient tradition of poor farming, Northern cuisine was less prevalent with the main ingredients being meat and fish.

Northerners prefer tasty food, focusing on the natural flavor of the ingredients and colors. They love eye-catching food to stimulate the taste buds. Besides, the northern dishes are also processed in a sophisticated way to highlight the appeal of each dish.

It is such a big pity if you forget Hanoi street food heaven and Northwest mountainous cuisine with Hanoi noodles, sticky rice noodles, spring rolls, fried shrimp, Ho Tay shrimp cake, Cha Cuon and many more.

The Middle of Vietnam – sophisticated and spicy cuisine

The Middle cuisine impresses us by the beauty of an elegant land. The locals use spicier but less sweet flavors than the South. Especially Hue people, from the dishes for the common people or kings serve many dishes with spicy and especially the sour like tomato sauce or shrimp paste.

Due to its location, The Middle is not as fond of nature as other areas, so the people here always appreciate and turn their wonderful products into the flavor of food. They dedicate to the dishes and make the best ones. It's very personal, but once you enjoy it, it will be such a memorable taste.

Southern Vietnam - Bold and Diverse cuisine

Southern cuisine is simple and charming, not as sophisticated as the honest locals, and just like the simple way of life - the nature but the love of the people here.

Food in the South is very diverse because of the interference of many regions as well as many different ethnic groups. Southern people prefer the food to stimulate the taste, was sweet, must be sweet, has spicy, must be spicy, salty, must be salty, sour, must be sour, bitter, must be bitter.

Interestingly, when thinking about Southern food, tourists often remember amazing dishes with the flavor of coconut milk. Indeed, the food in the South is often accompanied coconut juice to create a more appealing taste. In addition, they also like to add pepper to their dishes to add flavor.

Bun Cha Hanoi (Grilled Pork & Noodles)

If Pho is Hanoi’s number one dish, then Bun Cha ranks easily number two when it is regarded as a Hanoi local food favorite, where grilled pork and rice noodles are the stars and fresh herbs, sliced papaya, red chili, and garlic are the supporting players. And you can add fried spring rolls to the mix to enjoy the dish in the most amazing way.

Cha Ca (Grilled & Fried Fish with Rice Noodles)

It is obvious that visitors will fall in love with the Hanoi food scene immediately just after tasting Cha Ca, the most unique food to try in this city. Cha Ca, a Northern Vietnamese specialty is created by pan-fried chunks of meaty, turmeric, dill, fatty skinned fish, peanuts, shrimp paste, and rice noodles and other fresh ingredients.

Pho (Noodle Soup)

This is the most popular dish in Hanoi as travelers love it for the savory broth and slow-cooked meat, both beef and chicken, and just around $2 US. I really like its condiments, especially the small but potent red peppers and freshly made rice noodles. Let’s try it, it is actually a cheap bowl of soup with ultra-fresh ingredients and slow-cooked, melt-in-your-mouth slices of beef or chicken.

Banh mi

There is a banh mi stand on almost every corner of Vietnam, from the big & modern cities like Hanoi, Saigon, Hoi An to the small towns of which names you haven't ever heard about. A typical Vietnamese banh mi is made from meat, vegetables from native Vietnamese traditional cuisines such as cha lua (pork sausage), grilled pork,  cucumber, pickled carrots, and pickled daikon combined with Chinese char siu (barbecued pork) and condiments from French cuisine such as pâté, along with chili and mayonnaise. If you do not like pork, you can choose beef, chicken or even Grilled chopped fish. Eating banh mi is really part of the culture - it's passion and fashion and a part of daily lives. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, fast snack.. there is no right time for eating banh mi.

Ninh Binh goat meat

The goat meat is popular everywhere, but tourists are often served with braised goat meat. Ninh Binh’s goat meat taste is better than other regions for two main reasons: Ninh Binh has many limestone mountains for raising goats so the meat is fresh and firm.

Also to have a good rare goat meat dish, the locals have to perform several steps from the processing procedure to the mixture procedure like fresh meat and crispy served with precious fine herbs which are all good for health. They are ginger, chilly, lemon, seasoning powder, or citronella and all these ingredients and spices are well-mixed with goat meat. That is why this dish is nutritious and delicious.

As Ninh Binh seems to be a tourism city, visitors can try this dish in many restaurants at different prices, from luxurious to reasonable ones.

Egg coffee

Vietnam is pretty famous for its coffee and you will find coffee shops on every corner of every street. What you might not have known is that there are also a lot of specialty coffees, such as this deliciously frothy egg white coffee which you can purchase in certain cafes in Hanoi. A real treat after a long day sightseeing! Head to the Giang cafe (39 Nguyen Huu Huan) and Dinh Café (13 Đinh Tiên Hoàng) if you want to try it while in Hanoi.

Egg coffee by Mr. Nguyen Giang was from the late 1940s when condensed milk was not as abundant as today. Egg coffee is a mix of the egg yolks, sugar, condensed milk and Robusta coffee. The drink is made by beating egg yolks with sugar and coffee, then extracting the coffee into the half of the cup, followed by a similar amount of egg cream, which is prepared by heating and beating the yolks. The cup is served inside a bowl of hot water to retain its temperature. The marriage of the egg’s rich taste and aromatic coffee wafting through the air makes up the specific flavor. Let's wander and enjoy Hanoi in another taste.

Beer

Ta Hien and Bui Vien are normally called "Pho Tay".

On Old Quarter of Hanoi, and near Hoan Kiem Lake, Ta Hien has been a famous spot for tourists, especially for foreigners. Moreover, you can explore the street food heaven in Vietnam.

Ta Hien is in Hanoi, what about Bui Vien? Bui Vien is the most interesting night street in Ho Chi Minh city. It is quite similar to Ta Hien, but it is much more vibrant, sounding and complicated as well.

Wine of the locals (ethnic minorities)

With 54 ethnic minorities, Vietnam cuisines will never disappoint you. Each tribal group will surprise you with different unique food and drink.

What about wine? Yes, when talking about Wine sticky, Vietnamese people will definitely think about this specialty of Kim Son province. It is made from the seeds of the sticky yellow flowers in the rural area in the Red River. Under the skilled hand of the locals, combined with natural water, the wine has a different taste and easy to recognize.

But the most special drink that you should not miss is the local wine in mountainous areas. Why is it special? - As it is made from rice or corn.

In Ha Giang, Thanh Van capital where corn wine is very famous, the Mong family cooking wine and to sell at fairs flooded. Thanh Van corn wine should be a unique creation by two factors are water and enamel. Source water cooking wine taken from water high over 1000m above the sea level. The flow of water from the mountain Vietnam-China border runs through a lot of rocks to Thanh Van, fresh and cold water about 15 degrees combined with excellent enamel create unique wines. Making alcohol through many stages and processes that give the wine a delicious corn so captivating.

With over 4000 years of history with ups and downs, Vietnam attracts foreigners not only by amazing landscapes but also its unique culture. So what to see?

Central Highlands - the mysterious land

As its name indicates, Central Highlands is located in the Middle of Vietnam, of which more than 95% is mountainous terrain. If you are a mountain-lover, it would be a big regret if you travel to Vietnam but do not pay a visit to this beautiful region.

The mountains seem to dominate the horizon whatever directions we look. They look like huge green dinosaurs which had laid down for a nap and would never wake up. Taking a deeper discovery into the jungle, you will be amazed by its scenic beauty with different types of trees and flowers and the marvelous waterfalls.

The Central Highlands is also famous for their high-valued cultures. The ethnic people here still well maintain its traditional lifestyle as well as cultural activities. The houses on stilts, heroic epics and the Space of Gong are what appear on our minds when talking about this area. Matriarchal society can be seen in some groups such as Ede and Mnong. Especially, the traditional music of the ethnic people, with unique musical instruments such as T’rung and Klong Put, is undoubtedly a huge appeal of Central Highlands in particular and Vietnam in general. Thanks to its high cultural value, Gong Culture has been recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Hue – a historic and dreamy land

Located along the banks of the Huong River, Hue, the regional economic, cultural, touristic, scientific, specialized health, education and training hub of central Viet Nam is an attractive destination.

Hue is famous for its temples, bastions, mausoleums, architecture, and natural landscapes mostly covered by a layer of green moss, which creates a relaxing sensation. The most noticeable place is Hue Citadel. Situated on the northern bank of the Huong River, Hue Citadel was built on a surface area of more than 500 ha, including the Hoang Thanh and Tu Cam Thanh Citadel. It was the administrative center of the Nguyen dynasty and served as the living quarters of the Emperor and the Royal Family. The Citadel belongs to the old Imperial Capital of Hue, recognized

by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1993.

Romantic Escapes in Vietnam

Romance is in the air in Vietnam. We guide you to some hand-picked romantic destinations, boutique resorts, and luxury spas that intrigues and entertains you both, while also ensuring your privacy.

Vietnam is generally a casual country by western standards although people do like to dress in their Sunday best whenever the opportunity arises therefore simple and casual clothes are appropriate for almost any occasion.
The year-round heat and humidity in the south, especially Ho Chi Minh City, make lightweight quick-dry clothing the most appropriate. The north and central highlands get cool enough for sweaters or light jackets for much of the year but the northern highlands will require cold weather clothes in the winter. If you are not participating in any trekking tours, sandals and lightweight shoes are sufficient. If trekking is included in your itinerary you will need trekking boots.

Ho Chi Minh City's (Saigon) Tan Son Nhat Airport is Vietnam 's busiest international air hub, followed by Hanoi 's Noi Bai Airpot. A few international flights also serve new Danang International Airport, Phu Quoc International airport.

Singapore, Hongkong and Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur have emerged as the principle embarkation points for Vietnam but it's still possible to get direct flights from a number of major Asian and European cities and a few American and Australian cities.

There are currently six major international border crossings for travellers coming to Vietnam, but more may open soon. All crossing points suffer from heavy policing and often requests for 'immigration fees'.

For getting to/ from China, it's become very popular to cross the border at Friendship Pass or Dong Dang, 20km (12mi) north of Lang Son in northeast Vietnam , to get to/from Namning. There is a twice-weekly international train between Beijing and Hanoi that stops at Friendship Pass. The other popular border crossing with China is at Lao Cai (near Sapa) in northwest Vietnam, which lies on the railway line between Hanoi and Kunming in China 's Yunnan Province. There's also a seldom used crossing at Mong Cai, Quang Ninh Province.

It's possible to enter Laos from Lao Bao in north-central Vietnam; there's an international bus from Danang to Savannakhet ( Laos ). The other crossing is at Keo Nua Pass/Cau Treo, west of Vinh or Tay Trang in Dien Bien Phu in the mountainous North Vietnam.

Travellers can cross to Cambodia is via Moc Bai; an international bus links Phnom Penh with Ho Chi Minh City or take a speed boat from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh.

With many different kinds of travel spots and especially safety, Vietnam is a perfect choice for a family holiday. However, there is something that you should pay attention to in order to have the most comfortable trip.

- Dos:

+ Dress discreetly in public

Dress conservatively, especially for female travelers and children. The Vietnamese are quite conservative about their clothes, and it would be disrespectful to wear skimpy clothing in public. Dress appropriately not only to feel free to enjoy your trip, but more importantly to show your respect to others and especially in sacred places like pagodas and temples.

+ Be careful when crossing the roads

Traffic jam is one of the most terrific things that frighten foreigners first time coming to Vietnam. Riding bikes or motorbikes will be such an unforgettable experience. But the story will be more interesting when you try to cross the roads in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh city. Don’t stop as you cross the busy roads. Frightening as it can be, just keep walking. The traffic will avoid you. Pick a spot across the road, stare at it and keep walking, no matter what.

+ Make a bargain

Overcharging is also one of the most alarming problems of foreigners first time traveling to Vietnam as locals always think that foreigners are rich. However, this issue affects considerably the image of Vietnamese people on tourists' eye when they read reviews on the Internet. Therefore, remember to make bargain whatever you buy, please read the reviews carefully to consult the prices, or just contact us for local tips and tricks at Luxury Travel.

- Don'ts:

+ Wear a lot of jewelry or show valuables in public, especially when in Ho Chi Minh City.

When walking on streets in Vietnam, especially big cities like Ho Chi Minh City, if you wear a lot of jewelry like rings or even make a phone call, you will be a target for pickpockets or robbers. Also when you can't speak Vietnamese, it will be such a challenge to ask people surrounding you to help you.

+ Express the affection of lovers in public.

Western culture encourages or allows people to be free to show their love or affection. By contrast, it is impolite in Eastern culture countries, like in Vietnam.  You can see couples holding hands, but they will not kiss when many people can see that. Thus, avoid kissing your friends or lovers in front of other people at public places.

+ Give money to the beggars on the street or tourist attractions.

Actually beggars are sometimes not beggars. There is another way you can help people in difficult circumstances like donating to the charity. Children are exploited to earn money to groups of people. So be aware of that.

There are a lot of things you should and shouldn't do when coming to Vietnam, but don't worry, if you have any query or need local help, please feel free to call us at Luxury Travel to have an affordable, safe and local journey.
