1. Best Time To Travel Mui Ne - Phan Thiet

The best time to visit Mui Ne-Phan Thiet is from November to April which falls into the dry season. In this time, you will have the chances to experience the beautiful scenery in Phan Thiet, where is famous for its wonderful beach and interesting sight-seeing.

This train departs every day and takes about 4 hours (From Saigon to Phan Thiet and return)

Phan Thiet Central Market

Phan Thiet Central Market lets you experience the daily lives of the local population, with huge crowds haggling with vendors for an array of fresh fruits, spices, nuts, meat, dried foodstuff, and household supplies. Phan Thiet and Mui Ne are renowned for fresh and cheap seafood so expect lots of live shrimps, squids, fishes, snails, clams, and crabs wriggling inside plastic buckets. You can also get cheap clothes and accessories in the market, though most vendors carry the same stock.

Sofia Shopping Center

This is a family-run business centrally located that sells an assortment of high-quality clothing with a concentration on beach apparel and leisure. There is a dizzying range of silk scarves. It also provides local and tourists beach gear like sandals, bikinis, and sunglasses, along with belts and leather handbags. At the shopping center, you could get upmarket labels you want at the prices which are surprisingly competitive. In order to check if an item is 100% silk, you should light a strand. In case the ash leftover is fine, it is the real.

Mui Ne Handicraft

Mui Ne Handicraft at Java Restaurant offers a selection of beautiful handicrafts made by disadvantaged locals. A five-minute drive from Ham Tien Market, it’s where hearing-impaired children learn to sew and paint while others create handmade clothes, blankets, jewelry, and bags. You can also shop for textiles woven in traditional Cham patterns and have a local tailor produce a custom made outfit at affordable prices.

Set along tourist-friendly Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, the establishment is divided into several dining sections that cater to just about any preference.

Dragon Beach Bar

Dragon Beach Bar is divided into a chilled out bar section and a spacious nightclub, both of which overlook Mui Ne Beach. Open daily, the former is fitted with shisha pipes, daybeds, and beanbags along the beach while the latter features an open-air swimming pool, dancefloor and resident DJs spinning EDM, hip-hop, and funk tunes until 03:00. Expect a heavy crowd of locals, tourists, and expats during weekends and public holidays. Happy hour promos are between 20:00 and 23:00, where you can get two cocktails for the price of one.

Pogo Beach Bar & Restaurant

Pogo Beach Bar & Restaurant is an open-air nightlife venue set along Nguyen Dinh Chieu, featuring live music, free Wi-Fi, pool tables, and daybeds, as well as extensive food and alcohol menus. Open all day, guests can browse through its collection of books and board games while night-time is reserved for movie nights and DJ sets. There’s also an elevated beachfront wooden deck with beanbags and pillows – perfect for watching the sun set into the horizon. Hosting DJs from all over the world, Pogo Beach Bar & Restaurant’s music policy ranges from deep house and soul to reggae and pop.


Line Up Bar & Grill

Line Up Bar & Grill offers a diverse music policy, attractive happy hour promotions, fire shows, and vibrant parties on the beach. Known as the definitive nightclub in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, it stays busy until 03:00 every day, with clubbers dancing to an eclectic mix of EDM, hip-hop, deep house, funk, disco, and breaks. Priced at VND 60,000 onwards, Line Up Bar & Grill serves grilled seafood, American, and Argentinian cuisine as well as shishas, draft beers, and cocktails. Wax Bar

Located on Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, right beside the tropic resort named Rach Dua, Wax Bar is an impressive destination for both locals and tourists to visit and relax in Phan Thiet – Mui Ne. By day, it is an empty spot for you to hang out in the shade, playing sand soccer, watching the kite surfers, and enjoying the waves. This bar becomes delightful at sundown, with pastel sky and pleasant breeze.

Pillows, mats, and torches are perfectly set out on the beach with a pleasant mixture of music. The bar is the most crowded after night falls. Happy hours of the bar are usually from 6 pm to 7 pm and 9 pm to 10 pm. Sometimes, big beach parties are celebrated each weekend, drawing a large number of tourists to come. The price of food and beverages here are affordable. By paying a visit to this bar, you have a terrific chance of escaping from the busy life.

Red Sand Dunes

The Red Sand Dunes are one of Phan Thiet’s most unique natural formations, where you can take gorgeous snapshots and enjoy an array of activities. Located three kilometers north of Mui Ne, it features reddish-brown sand with gentle slopes that are reminiscent of a miniature Middle Eastern desert. If you get to the highest peak, you’ll be greeted with a great sunset view of the ocean. Sand-sledding is a common (and fun) activity here, with plastic sleds available for about VND 10,000 to VND 20,000. Be aware you have to haggle to rent the boards as the local boys will try to charge extortionate fees to rent the thin sheet of plastic. Visitors can also rent quad bikes and dune buggies to explore Red Sand Dunes, but make sure you agree on the price beforehand.

Mui Ne Beach

Mui Ne Beach runs along the coast of this popular coastal town in the capital of Binh Thuan province. It features 15 kilometers of sandy beaches, gentle waves, and luxurious beachfront resorts. The northern end of Mui Ne Beach is home to a traditional fishing village while the southern caters to recreational activities such as swimming and water sports. Thanks to its rock-free waters, the most popular activity in Mui Ne Beach is kitesurfing. The best time to enjoy this is between the months of November and March when the skies are sunny with strong winds.

Fairy Stream

Fairy Stream is a photography hotspot in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne thanks to its dramatic landscape of reds, whites, oranges, and pinks. With clear water flowing from Ham Tien’s Dinh Mountain, one side of Fairy Stream features a mix of white and red sand dunes while the other is an expansive field of verdant trees, blossoming flowers, and coconut palms. If you’re feeling a bit peckish, there are several food stalls set along the way while bars and restaurants are located upstream. Also, make sure you wear comfortable clothing and bring an extra pair of shoes as you’ll be wading through the water during your visit to Fairy Stream. 

Van Thuy Tu Temple

Van Thuy Tu Temple, dating back to 1762, is the largest and oldest whale temple in Phan Thiet – Mui Ne. Built-in honor of Ca Ong (Lord Whale), locals believe that whales are benevolent creatures that protect fisherman from bad weather and the dangers at sea. Therefore, Van Thuy Tu Temple houses the skeletal remains of more than 100 whales, including 22-meter long whale skeleton that’s thought to have been the biggest in Southeast Asia. Numerous artifacts from the Nguyen Dynasty are also displayed within the main hall of the temple, such as written decrees by 24 former kings, terracotta statues, incense table, lacquered boards, and an antique bronze bell.
