Tour Plan

Day 1: Siem Reap arrival- Angkor Temples (B)

You will discover the impressive temples of Angkor. Start to visit the most interesting points such as the unparalleled Angkor Wat, Bayon and its mysterious faces, Ta Promh where you will see its impressive roots, and a number of temples that will surely leave yours with our mouths open. Your specialist guide will be in charge of telling you the smallest detail of this place heritage of humanity.

After breakfast, you will depart for the sacred mountain of Phnom Kulen, where you will see a myriad of rice fields and typical Cambodian wooden houses on very long pillars. Phnom Kulen, known as the sacred mountain, was a very important place for the Khmer empire. From here, in 820 AD King Jayarvarman II proclaimed independence from Java, giving birth to the Khmer empire and modern Cambodia. In addition, from here flows the river that supplied them and was where they extracted most of the stones for the construction of the temples of Angkor. Among others, you will visit its great reclining Buddha and a small temple next to the waterfall. Then you will visit its incredible waterfall, where if you wish, you can take a dip.

 You will have the evening to yourselves, you can stroll through one of the city's night markets or walk along the lively Pub Street.

In the morning you will leave for Battambang.

Arriving to Battambang you will go to visit the Ek Phnom temple and its giant Buddha statue. On the way, you will see the rural area of Battambang and spot flying foxes. On your next visit, you will work up an appetite as you visit a local rice paper production center, which is used to make spring rolls and other traditional Cambodian food. Your next visit will be to the Banan Temple, located on a 400-meter hill that can only be reached by climbing very steep stairs. It is said that this temple was the inspiration for the construction of Angkor Wat. At the end of the tour, you can relax and have lunch in a hut on a lake.

In the afternoon you will go to Phnom Sampeu Hill, where you will see several pagodas and The Killing Cave, infamous for the crimes of the Khmer Rouge. At sunset, you will watch as millions of bats emerge from one of the caves on the hill.

After an early breakfast, meet the Wildlife Alliance Rangers together with an English-speaking guide and embark on a patrol over a network of abandoned poaching and logging trails through the dense forest. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, like macaques, gibbons or hornbills. Stop by the ranger station, where confiscated snares, traps and improvised hunting rifles are on display. After enjoying lunch at the station, kayak or hike back to the camp.

In the morning you will leave for Phnom Penh. Enjoy an afternoon tour of the area by "tuk-tuk," for an authentic and immersive experience like no other. Visit the beautifully renovated Art Deco Central Market and experience the local shopping scene firsthand. Known as ‘Phsar Thmei’ locally the market is a bustling hub for clothing, food and souvenir shopping. After exploring the market, we will stroll through the city’s off-the-beaten-path alleyways, where you’ll have a chance to

engage with the locals and see how they live their daily lives in the city. Observe and experience the locals enjoying their coffee while playing Cambodian-style chess and see the local food in its most authentic form, learning about the way of live in this vibrant city. Continue your visit to the city's namesake, Wat Phnom. Founded in 1373, the pagoda was built to house Buddhist relics

washed ashore by the river. From there, we will enjoy a short walk to the French Quarter, where you’ll get a glimpse of the city’s colonial era while admiring the beautiful architecture.
