Vietnam Grants Visa Exemption to 12 More European Countries

From August 15, 2025, Vietnam will extend visa exemptions to citizens of 12 additional countries for tourism purposes, allowing a 45-day stay from the date of entry. The new policy will remain in effect until August 14, 2028.

The newly added countries are: Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland.

With this update, Vietnam now unilaterally exempts visas for 24 countries. The existing list already includes Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
