Hoi An lantern festival in Germany
The 3rd Hoi An Lantern Festival 2023 was held in Wernigerode city (Saxony Anhalt State, Germany) from August 25 – 27 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the two cities’ friendship (2013 – 2023).

(TITC) – Marking the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Musée Khai Dinh – Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities (24th August 1923 – 24th August 2023), on 24th August, Hue Monuments Conservation Center, Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities cooperated with the Vietnam National Museum of History to organise an exhibition and display at the Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities the treasures of Emperor Khai Dinh – the person who founded the museum.

Plea for flight: Provincial governor urges reconsideration after Thai Smile route closure
Thai Smile’s decision to discontinue flights from Suvarnabhumi International Airport to Surat Thani Airport, beginning October 1, has led provincial governor, Witchawut Jinto, to appeal for a reversal. Jinto submitted a formal letter to Thai Smile, an affiliate of Thai Airways, requesting the continuation of the Suvarnabhumi-Surat Thani route.
Phang Nga tourism council proposes new airport to surpass Phuket’s capacity
A proposal for a new airport in Phang Nga, which could potentially surpass Phuket as the south’s aviation hub, will be presented to the new prime minister by tourism operators in the Andaman provinces. The president of the Tourism Council of Phang Nga, Pongsakorn Ketprapakorn, shared that the new airport’s necessity stems from the rapid growth in tourist demand for the south post-pandemic and the fact that expansion at Phuket airports has reached its limit.
