Hanoi – In response to the call from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Tourism Association, LuxGroup has contributed VND 5 million from the LuxGroup Foundations to support citizens and tourism businesses affected by Typhoon Yagy.

Embracing the spirit of “mutual support” and the tradition of “sharing food and clothing,” LuxGroup hopes this contribution will assist the people and businesses in the affected areas to overcome hardships and swiftly return to normalcy. As a member of the Vietnam Green Tourism Association – an organization that unites travel businesses nationwide to foster a green and sustainable tourism industry – LuxGroup is committed to supporting the community not only through sustainable business practices but also through meaningful contributions to society.

LuxGroup itself was not immune to the storm’s effects. Lux Travel DMC cancelled and changed the tour programs for their customers to ensure their safety. Similarly, another member of LuxGroup, Lux Cruises Group, had been damaged and in need of repair. However, in the spirit of “those with less still help those with more,” LuxGroup is eager to share and support other tourism businesses through this challenging time. The swift assistance from the group reflects its strong commitment to corporate social responsibility.
2024 has been designated as the year of tourism linked with environmental protection. Mr. Vu The Binh, President of the Vietnam Tourism Association, emphasized the importance of addressing the aftermath of natural disasters, and restoring the environment, and ecosystems to quickly resume tourism activities. “When the environment is damaged, tourism is affected. Tourism associations need to guide and support businesses in swiftly recovering the economy, landscapes, and urban areas,” Mr. Binh stated.
