Each place and each activity brings you a different side of this Southeast Asia country. However, if it is not the first time you go to Vietnam, and you are the one who always search for differences and want to explore the places that not many know, that itinerary may be sort of classic one. If so, here is a new idea for you and your next holiday to Vietnam.
The trip lasts about 5 days and takes places in some areas in North Vietnam, including Hanoi, Mai Chau and Puluong, but the highlighted places is Pu Luong where you spend about 3 days to take some interesting activities. If you want, you absolutely add some other places or activities, such as visiting Tam Coc and Halong Bay before arriving Hanoi.
The first day of the holiday, you will start from Hanoi and go to Mai Chau which is about 140 kilometers far from center of Hanoi. Mai Chau, located in Hoa Binh province, is home to the ethnic Thai people who are so friendly and always welcome you with warm smiles. After having some local food and a small rest, you will begin the journey to discover this peaceful area. This place is very suitable for trekking with spectacular views.
After moving to Pu Luong, for the next 3 days, you will have enough time to enjoy many activities. Pu luong is considered as the “micorsosm” of Northern Vietnam, containing magnificent moutain ranges, stuning rice terrace fields, scenic rivers and waterfalls and remote traditional villages. You can choose among of many options that attract you most: trekking through terraced rice fields, going to ethinic villages and learning more about local people’s daily life, rafting and floating along Cham River to enjoy the beautiful landscape. Kayaking is another choice you can try if you look for some more adventure activity. You will be impressed by the river landscape, traditional houses, impressive water wheels and farm lands. Compared to kayaking in Halong Bay, kayaking here is more attractive with occasional small dams on inflatable kayak.
