I. Where is Hon Yen & How to arrive in Hon Yen?
Hon Yen is located in Nha Trang Bay, Khanh Hoa, about 25 km to the Northeast of the mainland. Thus, if you want to go to the island, you must take a boat or canoe. Hon Yen is the home of thousands of birds and also the largest source of Salanganes’Nest reserves in Vietnam today.

II. The best time to visit Hon Yen
The best time to visit Hon Yen is the dry season from March to September. Hon Yen has only one tour per day, so the island only welcomes about 30 guests and the staff, so it is untouched.
III. What to explore in Hon Yen (Swallow Island)?
Hon Yen is home to small but extremely rare salanganes and it is common for visitors to see birds nest perching on the offshore cliffs.
Hon Yen is made up of beautiful and wild islands, located in the middle of the immense sea and sky, which increases the beauty of the space here. When wandering around the island, visitors will be going through bridges made of bamboo and zigzag wood designed around the cliff. When entering the cave, visitors should note softly, if taking pictures, please turn off the flash to avoid scaring birds.
The island also owns a large and beautiful coral reef like the glass of tropical fish, just pick a diving goggle and take a deep breath to enjoy it. On the island, there is also a mountain that can capture the whole panoramic view of Hon Yen, let’s climb to Du Ha mountain and embrace the fresh taste of Nha Trang sea.

IV. Some notes for Hon Yen trip
– You have to get up early to have breakfast because ships depart at Cau Da Port at 7.30 am.
– Prepare cameras, phones, backup battery.
– Bring a hat, suncream, jacket because it’s a bit sunny here.
