Building a Better Future Through Responsible Tourism
As a Travelife Partner committed to responsible tourism, Lux Travel DMC continues to integrate sustainable travel into its business operations, environmental initiatives, community engagement, and staff development programs. The following showcases some of our key sustainability highlights and activities during May and June 2026.
1. Collect Used Batteries – Grow Green Futures
As part of Environmental Action Month 2026, Lux Travel DMC launched the campaign “Collect Used Batteries – Grow Green Futures” from 16–20 June 2026 to encourage responsible waste management and environmental protection. In partnership with Biti’s, all collected batteries were transferred to authorized recycling facilities for proper treatment and disposal. Through this initiative, every 15 batteries collected contribute to the planting of one tree in protected areas across Vietnam, including Ta Dung National Park, Nam Nung Nature Reserve, A Luoi Protection Forest, and Nui Ong Nature Reserve.
Within one week, the Lux Travel DMC team collected and delivered 200 used batteries for recycling, helping reduce hazardous waste while supporting reforestation efforts and environmental restoration projects.
This initiative demonstrates how small actions can contribute to environmental protection and supports Lux Travel DMC’s ongoing sustainability commitments.

2. Enhancing Guide Competencies for Sustainable Tourism Delivery Across Vietnam
To strengthen service quality and professional standards, Lux Travel DMC organized a nationwide training program for its tour guide network.
The first training session was held in Hanoi on 26 May 2026 with the participation of 30 guides from Northern Vietnam. Additional training sessions were conducted during an inspection trip to Central and Southern Vietnam from 15–21 June 2026.
The training was led by Ms. Doan Van, Managing Director, and Ms. Huong, Operations Manager, covering practical case studies, emerging travel trends, guest experience management, sustainability awareness, and professional guiding skills.
A total of 82 tour guides participated:
- 30 guides from Northern Vietnam
- 25 guides from Central Vietnam
- 27 guides from Southern Vietnam
The program provided opportunities for knowledge sharing, professional development, and strengthening collaboration within Lux Travel DMC’s guide network. Continuous investment in guide training helps ensure high-quality, authentic, and responsible travel experiences for guests across Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

4. Learning from Green Tourism Models in Ninh Binh
From 21–25 May 2026, Ms. Doan Van, Managing Director, represented Lux Travel DMC in a sustainability-focused familiarization trip to Ninh Binh to explore green tourism models and responsible tourism practices.
The program included visits to tourism businesses implementing environmental initiatives such as solar energy systems, water and energy conservation measures, waste reduction practices, and sustainable hospitality operations.
Participants also explored tourism products developed under the “Farm-to-Table” concept, which support local agriculture, create economic benefits for communities, and reduce environmental impacts.
The experience provided valuable insights that will support Lux Travel DMC in developing and selecting tourism products that align with sustainable tourism principles.

5. Supporting the Next Generation of Sustainable Tourism Guides
On 16 May 2026, Lux Travel DMC supported the 5th French-speaking Tour Guide Competition, “Aimer Pour Guider”, organized by ULIS – Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Under the theme “Youth and Sustainable Tourism”, the competition encouraged students to promote local culture, heritage, landscapes, and cuisine while highlighting the role of young people in environmental protection, cultural preservation, and sustainable tourism development.
