Tour Plan

DAY 1: Hanoi Arrival [Guide/D]

On arrival at Noi Bai International airport  you will be met and escorted to your hotel in down town. Welcome dinner at a lovely restaurant in the Old French Quarter of Hanoi.

 

The colonial capital city Hanoi is a unique Asian city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental pagodas and temples. Today you will embark on a city tour at 08:00 AM, including the Ho Chi Minh complex and the Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam.
 
In the afternoon, you will visit the Ethnology Museum, dedicated to 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam, and then drive to Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son temple, and the Old Quarter for shopping. In the evening enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show at 17:30.

Your trip to Sapa will then start at 22:00 with an overnight train journey to the border town of Lao Cai on the Chapa Express Train for Sapa.
 

 

The train will arrive at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 06:05 AM. There will be a vehicle waiting to transfer you to Sapa. The drive to Sapa is 33 km and takes roughly 1.5 hours. Once at Sapa, you will check into your hotel in order to freshen up, have breakfast and then enjoy a free morning to explore the town.
 
After a pickup from the hotel, there will be a walking tour of the hill tribe villages of Cat Cat, home to the Black H'mong minority peoples. As we walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa, we will meet some of the local people on their way to and from Sapa.
 
Here you will have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with the families that live in the area, followed by an overnight at stay at the Victoria Sapa Hotel.
 

 

Following breakfast, you’ll explore the Sapa market and then set out on a 3-4 hour trek that will take you along buffalo paths and trails.  We’ll also pass through the hill tribe villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van, home to the H'mong and Dzay people.
 
This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery, inhabited by some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. We will stop for a picnic lunch on the way to Ta Van village. In the afternoon, we will transfer back to Lao Cai for the Chapa Express train journey back to Hanoi. The train departs at 21:15 and is an overnight journey.

Chapa Express arrives to Hanoi around 05:30 - 06:00, your guide will escort you to have a breakfast at locl restaurant then drive ahead to Halong Bay.  Enjoy the landscape of the Red River Delta country side.
11: 30 Arrive at Tuan Chau island – Take break and welcome drink at Pelican Halong Cruise LoungeWelcome drink - receive cruise briefing, safety instructions and check in. Start cruising and explore Halong Bay - one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.
 
Enjoy buffet lunch with Vietnamese dishes served while cruising through the bay, passing the most beautiful and quiet areas, such as Incense Burner, Dog Stone Islet, Fighting Cock, Soi Sim beach, Coconut Three Island.
 
Visiting Tung Sau area, is covered by the leaping rocks, cultured pearl fishery. You can wit yourself the process of the jewel, from culturing to harvesting and sculpting, Moreover, you have a chance to do kayaking based on your preference. Enjoy busy space with pearl maker, you can experience the completion of pearl.
 
Visiting the beautiful Ti Top beach for swimming (if the weather permits), Ti Top Beach is especially famous for its fresh atmosphere, clean water, and smooth white sand that create a great ambiance for tourists to relax or passengers can take steps to reach on the top of  Ti Top beach to have a whole panorama view of Halong Bay.
 
Back to the boat and free time while sailing to Luon Bo area, and anchor overnight.
 

 

The day starts early onboard with Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Tai chi also called Tai chi chuan, combines deep breathing and relaxation with slow and gentle movements. Coffee, tea and pastries for breakfast are served in the dining room with morning view of bay’s landscape.
 
Transfer by tender to Sung Sot Cave. Walk up about 100 steps to the cave entrance. It takes approximately 45 minutes for cave visiting. Visit Sung Sot Cave, one of the most biggest cave in Halong bay with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Return to the boat by tender. Proper shoes are highly recommended.
Back to Pelican Halong Cruise. Check out and settle your bill at reception. Have a buffet brunch while cruising back to the Tuan Chau Wharf. Relaxing on the sundeck or in the dining room enjoying the bay scenery while approaching the wharf. Disembark to Tuan Chau Wharf and transfer to Hanoi's airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Check-in your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City upon arrival.
 

 

You will go to Cu Chi Tunnels in the morning you will enjoy a half-day private excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The Cu Chi Tunnels consist of more than 200km of underground tunnels.
This main axis system has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life was like during the U.S.-Vietnam War. 
In the afternoon have a private tour of the country's commercial center and home to a growing number of upscale restaurants and shops. You will visit Chinatown, the Thien Hau Pagoda, the Reunification Palace, the Opera House and the Hotel de Ville. You should also visit the powerful War Remnants Museum. You'll stroll through the city's main shopping boulevard with fashionable boutiques and hill tribe crafts, high quality linens and house-wares.
Saigon After Dark 6:00-10pm (4 hours) 

 Part night excursion, part street food adventure. VVA pick up guests at hotel and first stop is to Café zoom to "watch the world goes by" (quoted by The Lonely Planet) and enjoy cocktail and appetizer (inclusive) before adventuring into favorite local eating spot. 

Guests experience the nightlife of Saigon the way locals do, all from the back of a vintage Vespa scooter. The tour will start with a ride to part Chinatown and then heading to District 4 through busy streets and alleys to see the night life of locals and enjoy street sea- food and cold drinks, places that foreigner won't be found. 

 Leaving district 4 to district 3 the tour pass through downtown district 1 to take in the sights on the way to Banh Xeo, specialty of Saigon, and southern food with the locals. Then the tour will continue to a hidden Vietnamese-style coffee shop to have a taste of Vietnamese music (live) as a local. After this the tour will bring guest to a lively music venue to enjoy the drinks with live music. Guests ride pillion behind our drivers.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City
 

 

Ben Tre is the best option for a day trip to the Mekong Delta from Saigon, since it is only around 2 hours away, and 15 minutes from My Tho. However, this wonderful destination retains an authenticity which has been somewhat lessened in nearby My Tho.
This picturesque and friendly Mekong Delta town has historically seen very few travelers, but the recent opening of a bridge connecting Ben Tre and My Tho has made it far easier for day trippers to visit from Saigon.
 
Our one day cruise excursion starts at 8:00 am from the lobby of your hotel in Saigon with a drive to Ben Tre. While there, you can take a walk along the waterfront, lined with French era shops and houses, and you’ll see plenty of coconuts being unloaded from boats for dispatch around the country.
Then, jump on a boat for a couple of hours of cruising on the Mekong River. You will enjoy your delicious lunch at a local restaurant or on board. The excursion will end at around 4:00pm where the vehicle will await you for your transfer back to Saigon.
 

 

This morning you will be transfer to the airport for a flight to Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. Arrival in Phnom Penh and transfer to th hotel for check in, after check in, we will to visit the Toul Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek-both grim reminders of Cambodia's bloody past under Pol Pot. It is almost inconceivable to confront the nature of true evil here in this gentle land, but the Buddhist memorial at Choeung Ek, commemorates the 1.7 million victims of the 1975-79 Pol Pot regime. This excursion may prove distressing for some. It is, however, an important piece of this country’s historical and cultural puzzle. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

 

Phnom Penh city tour: Visit the Victory Monument, and the National Museum, also called Musee des Beaux-Arts. A French archaeologist and painter, Georges Groslier, designed it in Khmer style in 1917. The museum contains a collection of Khmer art - notably sculptures - throughout the ages. Visit the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda. Located within the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. The treasures found inside include a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90kilograms and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha. End your afternoon with the visit of the Wat Phnom Temple, Phnom Penh's namesake and transfer to airport for flight departure to Siem Reap, arrival in Siem Reap and transfer to the hotel for check in, free at your leisure time.

 

Breakfast at hotel: Start your sightseeing tour of Angkor area we spend a full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple and the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature.

 

Breakfast at hotel, Heading out of town we make our way by traveling on a newly paved road to the intricately carved and well preserved temple of Banteay Srei. Along the way we make stopover at the Preah Dark village and we follow these with a visit the Banteay Samre Temple adorned with impressive relief’s depicting scenes of Vishunu as well as Krishna legends. Afternoon we visit the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap. We take a boat trip in a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake, the "Great Lake" of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia. We spend the rest of day visiting the "Chantiers Ecoles - Les Artisans d'Angkor" which provides training to young Cambodians in an effort to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone carving and wood sculpting. and transfer to the airport for a flight to Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. Check in hotel upon arrival Bangkok. 

 

After breakfast and check-out. Transfer to Maeklong Railway Market and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
07:00 a.m  Pick up at the lobby of your hotel in Bangkok then proceed to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
08:30 a.m.  Arrival Maeklong Railway Market, locally called Talad Rom Hoop.   It is exciting and fun to watch the merchants and vendors in a rush to fold and remove their goods and umbrellas away from the railway track while the Maekong Train is passing by.  This market is, on and to be open and closed 8 times a day, since there are 4 trains passing up and down.
Arrive at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, the only original and authentic floating market of Thailand in Ratchaburi province about 80 km. from Bangkok. Take the long-tailed boat ride along the canal from the pier to the floating market.  At the floating market, you are free at leisure to explore the market. 
Lunch at local restaurant.
13:30 p.m. Return to Bangkok and transfer to airport for late afternoon flight to Phuket. Arrival Phuket and transfer to check-in at hotel.
