Sapa Mountain Retreat by Road 4 days

Enjoy breakfast and a new day in the mountain. You will take a walk to Cat Cat village, set in a beautiful valley just outside Sapa - Cat Cat is home to the H'mong people. After lunch in Sapa, you take a drive to Ta Phin valley, home to Black H'mong people and Red Dao people. Dao women are particularly striking as they wear a large red turban often covered with old coins or jewelry. They also shave their hair and eyebrows. Tonight you spend the second night in Sapa town in the foot of Fansipan.

Today you have a full day trek from Sapa town along buffalo paths, trails and through several hill tribe villages. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you will meet. You have lunch at a restaurant near the river on the way. Rejoin car transfer back to Sapa for overnight.

Bidding farewell to Sapa and its friendly people you begin the journey back to the capital. Some short breaks on the way before you arrive in Hanoi by late afternoon. End of services. Cam on va chao tam biet!

Optional: Bac Ha Sunday hill tribe market. A visit to the Sunday market is a must. The very colorful flower Hmong people converge from faraway villages to trade and exchange goods here: Local farm produce, Tho cam (indigo clothes) dogs, cats, pigs, horses and more are on sale here. Local people, especially young men and girls wearing their 'Sunday best' come from many of the surrounding villages in order to catch up with each other. This is a golden opportunity for any budding photographers as the diversity of colors on display is truly magnificent.
