Visa to Myanmar

   1. MYANMAR VISA EXEMPTIONS
As of 2025, passport holders of these following 14 countries do not require a visa to visit Myanmar for tourism purposes include:  

  • Free visa for 14 days: Brunei, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, and Indonesia 
  • Free visa for 21 days: Dominica
  • Free visa for 30 days: Russia, Vietnam, Singapore, Philippines, Micronesia
  • Free visa for 90 days: Haiti, Suriname, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

  2. MYANMAR VISA ON ARRIVAL
2.1.    Who is eligible for a Myanmar visa on arrival?
Passport holders of these following countries and Taiwan can apply for visa on arrival in Myanmar:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Laos, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, North Korea, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, UK, Ukraine, USA, Vietnam.
2.2.    Requirement Documents:

  • Your passport, which must be valid for at least another six months
  • Two passport-size pictures of yourself, with the following specifications for Myanmar visa requirements:
  • Dimensions: 4cm x 6cm
  • Taken within the last three months
  • Plain, white background
  • You must have a neutral facial expression and are facing forward
  • Your entire face must be visible
  • You must not be wearing any headgear or eyeglasses
  • Proof of accommodation in Myanmar, along with the address of where you will stay
  • If you are traveling for business:
  • Letter of Invitation from the company sponsoring you in Myanmar or the relevant inviting Ministry
  • Copies of any documents regarding the inviting company, such as their company registration or business license
  • Documents detailing the information of the inviting company (location, name), the name of the sponsor, and your position in the company
  • If you are transiting: Proof of onward travel
  • Any additional documents which support your purpose of stay, such as proof of purchased travel insurance (although not mandatory)

2.3.    Visa on Arrival Fees?
The fee for a Myanmar Visa On Arrival changes depending on the purpose of your travel:

  • Myanmar Tourist Visa On Arrival: 50 USD
  • Myanmar Business Visa On Arrival: 50 USD
  • Myanmar Transit Visa On Arrival: 20 USD
  • Myanmar Crew Visa On Arrival: 40 USD
  • Myanmar Visa On Arrival to attend a workshop, seminar, meeting: 40 USD

You have to pay the visa fee at the time you submit the application.
2.4.    The validity of Myanmar Visa on Arrival
The most common type of visa for travelers visiting Myanmar is the tourist visa. A tourist visa is typically valid for a stay of up to 28 days from the date of entry into Myanmar.   

3.  MYANMAR E-VISA

3.1.    Who is eligible for the Myanmar E-visa system?
Ordinary passport holders from 100 countries including Australia, Austria, Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Luxembourg, Nertherlands, New Zealand, Ireland, Paraguay, Portugal, United Kingdom, United States, Switzerland, Spain, United Arab Emirate … are eligible to apply Tourist Visa.
3.2.    Ports of Entry: 

  • Yangon International Airport
  • Mandalay International Airport
  • Nay Pyi Taw International Airport
  • Kawthaung International Land Border Checkpoint

3.3.    E-Visa Fees
For applying E-Visa, it shall be collected:

  • e-Tourist Visa (single entry - 28 days): USD 50
  • e-Business Visa (single entry - 70 days): USD 70
  • Additional Fee:
  • Rush Processing (5 Working Days): (USD 59)/person
  • Super Rush Processing (3 Working Days): (USD 99)/person
